Global Learner's Institute, a consulting-based English conversation school that has been talked about for its achievements in advancing students to boarding schools in Japan and abroad, celebrates its 10th anniversary at the Foreign Correspondents' Club.
Global Learner's Institute, a consulting-based English conversation school, held its 10th anniversary celebration on May 25 at the Foreign Correspondents' Club (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo).
In addition to on-site participation, many people participated online on the day of the event. Approximately 50 people attended the event and sent flowers and congratulatory messages. At the ceremony, the president, Mr. Minoru Kaburaki, reviewed the history of the school and said that the school would continue to provide "happy education and higher education for both parents and children" and "broadening children's horizons to the world.
Global Learner's Institute was established in 2014 as an English conversation school in Harumi, Chuo-ku, Tokyo. GLI was started with the idea that "we must do something about English education in Japan," and with the concept of "learning English, not learning English," we adopted a second language acquisition method called "CLIL," in which students learn other subjects in English, combined with "immersion," which does not involve any Japanese language. We have established the "CLIL & Immersion" method, which is a combination of "CLIL" for learning other subjects in English and "immersion" for learning other subjects in Japanese, using inquiry-based textbooks. In the past few years, we have organized many study tours in Japan and abroad, offering global and local learning experiences, visiting places that are normally impossible to visit, and meeting people that are impossible to meet. We have provided global and local learning experiences. To date, we have accepted approximately 40 children to boarding schools in Japan and abroad. We will continue to support your child's bright future as a global school that expands your child's horizons to the world.
