In 2014, with an eye on the changing times, we opened Global Learner's Institute (GLI), an English conversation school in Harumi, where even ordinary Japanese elementary school students can acquire full-fledged 4-skills English proficiency at the level of Eiken Level 2. The school has developed a textbook (probably the first of its kind in Japan) using English as a second language acquisition method called "Contents and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL)," in which English is used to learn other subjects, rather than learning English. With the aim of learning about the world at large through English, we actually go on study tours to partner schools and orphanages overseas to discover issues from elementary school students.
